For over two decades, Singing Hills Farm has operated on 25 acres of rolling hills and prairie grasslands south of the Twin Cities. The farm is now in the process of transitioning to the next generation of stewards.

Renewing the Countryside (RTC) and American Farmland Trust (AFT) are partnering to raise funds to place an agricultural conservation easement on the land that will permanently protect the property for farming.

Your contribution will ensure the protection of Singing Hills Farm and the transfer to the farm’s next steward and will keep the land affordable for future generations of farmers. (To learn more about the details, click here.)

Kue Lor, Bao Xiong and their daughter Mai are successful, experienced produce farmers who’ve dreamed of farming their own land.
To help make this happen, American Farmland Trust (AFT) will purchase the farm, place an easement on it, and sell it to the Lor family at a reduced price (because of the easement restriction).  This innovative model can help farmers like Lynne retire and bridge her legacy with the Lor family’s future.

We have raised $90,000 of the $150,000 needed to place an easement on Singing Hills!

A generous donor will match the next 50 donations – up to $25,000.

Please consider supporting this important transition.
